The site of the new LS Precast facility is a hive of activity with substantial progress being made. The empty block of land has been transforming, with the initial site office and amenities now established. The tunnel segment factory structure is underway with primary steel work completed.
Three factories will be built on the site, and bulk earthworks have been undertaken to make way for these. The site drainage network has started and flood retarding basin has been constructed. We have also achieved the initial building permit for the facility. Alongside the factory is a rail line which links the facility to Melbourne Port.
Works are currently underway on the rail line to ensure that our precast site can utilise the rail link to bring products to our client, the West Gate Tunnel Project. This rail line will also be useful for our future clients based in Melbourne.
